Meet Dr Anna Braun

Dr Anna is excited to be a Registrar of General Practice!

With a passion for mental health, aged care and children’s health, Anna has undertaken additional training from the University of Sydney Child Health Programme and holds a Graduate Diploma in Child Health. Currently, she is completing a lactation consulting course to better assist her patients in their journey with breastfeeding. She offers a compassionate, empathetic and caring bedside manner.

Anna moved to Australia in 2015 to complete a graduate medical degree from the University of Melbourne. Prior training involved nursing and biology which provides a varied background in former education. Working as an intern at Western Health, followed by two years as a physician trainee at the Alfred Hospital and one year of COVID telehealth, Anna is excited about entering the field of General Practice. Dr Anna has a particular interest in supporting families with children may have or may have ADHD or autism. Dr Anna has lived experience supporting her daugther through diagnosis of these conditions.

Working part time as a general practitioner allows for much enjoyment in outdoors like spending time with her family including her toddler and dog Luna the groodle. Anna has grown up cross country running and continues to run for exercise and fun. Anna is preparing for a half marathon this May. Other hobbies including surfing, travelling and practicing her Spanish with her Spanish speaking family.
